It is amazing all the things that can be done with the <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_0" class="blsp-spelling-error">smartboard</span>. We learned how to add pictures with sounds, slide bars, games, create and recreate lessons to fit our teaching standards, how to animate, how to make a ship travel around the world map, and so much more. I am looking forward to having my students working with the <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_1" class="blsp-spelling-error">smartboard</span>. I decided that I am going to create a kindergarten orientation presentation for the <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_2" class="blsp-spelling-error">smartboard</span>. I saw some <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_3" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">beginning</span> presentations, but they were too general. If you have any ideas or sites that may be helpful please let me know. Thanks, TaraKinder Bearshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16957258070446719860noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3998232130298224527.post-35724451534017702392011-06-07T17:30:00.000-07:002011-06-07T17:38:24.083-07:00smartboard trainingAll I can say is WOW!!!!! Today was my first training day with the <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_0" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">smart board</span>. It is unbelievable what it can do. There are so many neat features. I think of it as a <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_1" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">power point and overhead projector</span> on <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_2" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">steroids. The different techniques that it can do, the drawing and text pacements, and so many other cool features. If you have been working with a smartboard and know of a good site for lessons and could pass it along... I would appreciate it. I dont mind what grade because I will share them with the other teachers at my school that are getting smartboards too. Thanks.</span>Kinder Bearshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16957258070446719860noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3998232130298224527.post-51325899691514353312011-06-03T22:32:00.000-07:002011-06-06T19:26:21.270-07:00Math Work Stations<div><br /><div>1. How do you or will you differentiate your math stations? </div><br /><div>At this time I grouped my students according to how or what type of <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_0" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">instruction</span> they needed. For example, if a group of students needed to work on the numbers 1-10, they would be grouped together. My goal for this coming year is to use the math stations to differentiate the learning.<br /><br />2. How and where do you keep you math stations?<br />At this time I do not use math stations. I have a math center that I use during rotations. i pull out needed <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_1" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">materials</span> as I use them. I hope next year to really have Math Stations.<br /><br />3. How (and where) do you keep your math materials organized?<br /></div><br /><br /><br /><div>At this time, all over! </div><br /><br /><br /><br /><div>Although, they are kindagrouped together.<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiz4P_tBZSiOewFgX-W5GDx6AL74ENyj-dsHirTokgDwfhyphenhyphen2Yal9ny9MGKvawhmpPXRdPRtm9Aewrkp6Qjz7Wz1HCQF4KAb7ZA_fQI3BM43ZeHpDTHpVfQC7Luw7mDT4aR0V0I0-dyz9sA/s1600/june+2011+021.JPG"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; WIDTH: 320px; FLOAT: right; HEIGHT: 237px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5615289798386266594" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiz4P_tBZSiOewFgX-W5GDx6AL74ENyj-dsHirTokgDwfhyphenhyphen2Yal9ny9MGKvawhmpPXRdPRtm9Aewrkp6Qjz7Wz1HCQF4KAb7ZA_fQI3BM43ZeHpDTHpVfQC7Luw7mDT4aR0V0I0-dyz9sA/s320/june+2011+021.JPG" /></a></div><br /><br /><br /><br /><div>I have a math cabinet <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_2" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">similar</span> to several people </div><br /><br /><br /><br /><div>that holds the <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_3" class="blsp-spelling-error">manipulatives</span> in clear bins that slide into the cabinet.<br /></div><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><div><br /></div><br /><div>For my clear bins, I have unifix cubes </div><br /><br /><br /><br /><div>sorted and connected in sets of 10 </div><br /><br /><br /><br /><div>by color, makes it easy to pass<br />out to students.</div><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><div>I also have blocks, bears, links, and various other manipulatives. <img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5615292643313295090" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhaHBU5SIRhp1P6gX8VNPOxPS7lf1j-PfmlZhen9pFW19ORgNl7DI56rCUKJL7Mb50iH9FMqQVecwkz18BK6pkBV3Y5uQlbeQsqZm_7rmeEmwEIgPPic9vtyQmNOTse_XMK-jHK7fKAqsc/s320/june+2011+034.JPG" /><br /></div><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYefrpvzH1KiiwYKcf1sZFvFHwhptIUbyn7P0QnmHOsPphGyl_GFtsqVS47XuGXDJE3tyidlbWC5Le3lpYpgmooht5mrpZBFvXtAlrsQNxLbv7Nll2BsIpYRTInPC-G6hrf4iIV1VgA_4/s1600/june+2011+023.JPG"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; WIDTH: 240px; FLOAT: right; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5615295183255385714" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYefrpvzH1KiiwYKcf1sZFvFHwhptIUbyn7P0QnmHOsPphGyl_GFtsqVS47XuGXDJE3tyidlbWC5Le3lpYpgmooht5mrpZBFvXtAlrsQNxLbv7Nll2BsIpYRTInPC-G6hrf4iIV1VgA_4/s320/june+2011+023.JPG" /></a><br /><br />I have all our new math manipulaties still stored and placed in a big tub.
